South Dakota

We have arrived. Grant it we arrived many hours ago, but thanks to 5 Tylenol and 2 NyQuil I have been sleeping since 3 pm yesterday. The drive yesterday was horrible. I drove until 3 and then broke down and took some meds and went to sleep.

Last night my teeth hurt. It was so strange. They didn't bother me at all during dinner or in the evening. I lay in bed and bam it felt like 4 of my teeth were going to pop out. I also had a headache that went along with the teeth. I was up until who knows what time and then it hit me that the last time I had a weird headache like this was when I left my contacts in for too long. Contacts came out, and after about a half hour I was able to sleep.

My teeth still hurt a little- but I noticed my throat starting to hurt. Ryan thinks its just from lack of sleep. I could agree with that. Anyways being sick isn't our only problem at the moment. Our fridge wont stay lit. So we had to order a part- another reason we pulled into the campgrounds late. And now its snowing outside and our furnace wont light. Nor will the generator kick on. Yay for one thing after another. We've put extra blankets on the girls and extra clothes on us... and we'll deal with it in the morning. You know when we wake up early to go get parts for the fridge.

I'm so happy to be here in South Dakota I'm just wishing I, and my motor home, were feeling better.

  1. Buy about 8 hot water bottles. You can fill them (or boil water) at a gas station. If wrapped well (and filled with boiling water they will stay warm about 6 hours. (Making a double layer fleece cover would keep them warm)
